Ed measures online Lab

This week in my Ed measures class we had an online lab assignment to do instead of a formal class meeting. This week we used MyStudyStack.com to make flash cards for a unit and then we had to do the different activities utilizing the flash card info as a study tool for our students. . It is interactive that you could make up the flash card review for say a test but they are not limited to just flash cards. There are different interactive games that students can play while reviewing the material provided. One this saves the paper of regular note cards and it is much more interesting than just flipping a bunch of cards over and over again. With this site their studying is more interactive and keeps the brain stimulated and the students interested. I wish that this website was at my disposal when I was in high school because it would've been an easier for me to study English vocabulary as well as the vocabulary that came from my Spanish classes as well. After going through each of the activities myself once my flash cards were complete I found that I like this web tool even more! You can have students go through each of the activities say each night or class period and then you can even set up practice quizzes for the students so after they take the practice you can check their results so you can measure their progress and see what form is the best way to test them. Even though I made the study stack cards myself and already had an idea of the correct definitions, it was still fun for me to try and match them correctly or beat the hang man. This is a great way to get kids into good study habits that actually makes studying not a huge chore!
