This past week.....

This past week in my class, Product and Utilization of Technology in the classroom, we read a lesson plan and then did the activity ourselves. The activity was we had to create a poster that focused on some sort of safety that would be posted around a school. I thought of this because of the section we read about communicating safely online. My poster focused on texting while driving, and I used the slogan I came up with, "Think texting is NBD? How about RIP?" NBD of course stands for no big deal. Other people focused on safe posting as well as not sexting, etc. I think posters like these would really open up kids eyes, especially if they have to do research before making the posters themselves. They would be able to read the facts and figures, including them in the text of their poster, and see that even though technology can really help our lives, we can't abuse the usage.
